Pecan Pie Cake

1 box Butter Pecan cake mix (reserve 3/4 C. for filling)

1 egg                          

1 stick butter, softened


Beat egg, add butter and cake mix.  Press into greased and floured 9x12-inch pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.


FILLING:  1/2 C. brown sugar               1/2 C. corn syrup

    reserved cake mix        3 beaten eggs

    2 C. chopped pecans                1 tsp. vanilla


Mix ingredients together.  Pour over top of cake.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.  Cool and cut into 2-inch square
